NetWare for the HP 9000 -- Additional Information

HP's decision to market and sell NetWare for the HP 9000 provides one
stop shopping for your customer and allows you to sell a total HP
solution.  The following are the most commonly asked questions
concerning this recent announcement.

Please keep in mind that the current installed base of Innovus
customers are completely protected.

Q. Why has HP made the decision to sell and market NetWare for the HP
   9000?

A. Customers have asked that we provide a total solution.  In addition,
   not providing NetWare for the HP 9000 directly from HP has been used
   against us as a competitive disadvantage.  It is important to note
   that this decision was based on market changes only.  HP will
   continue to get its NetWare solution for the HP 9000 directly from
   Innovus.

Q. What is the availability of NetWare for the HP 9000?

A. NetWare for the HP 9000 will be orderable and shipping worldwide in
   the 1st quarter of 1992.  In Europe, NetWare for the HP 9000 is
   currently available directly from HP.  For information, please refer
   to the October 1, 1991 issue of Computer News.

Q. What is the interim plan between now and the time HP releases
   NetWare for the HP 9000?

A. HP will continue to support Innovus' effort to meet customer needs.
   If an HP 9000 deal requires NetWare, or if you have an installed HP
   9000 customer with NetWare requirements, you should have your
   customer purchase NetWare for the HP 9000 directly from Innovus.
   Note, NetWare for the HP 9000 is currently available directly from
   HP in Europe.

Q. Is there an impact to the installed base of Innovus customers now
   that HP has decided to market and sell NetWare for the HP 9000?

A. NO!  The decision to market and sell NetWare will be transparent to
   the Innovus installed base.  HP currently supports NetWare from
   Innovus through normal HP support channels.  HP will continue to
   support the Innovus installed base after the release of NetWare for
   the HP 9000 from HP Once on the CPL, software material updates will
   come directly from HP.

Q. Will Innovus continue to sell NetWare for the HP 9000 after HP
   releases its product?

A. NO!  Once HP releases NetWare for the HP 9000, Innovus will
   discontinue direct marketing and selling of their NetWare products.

Q. What HP 9000 platforms will HP's NetWare for the HP 9000 be
   available on?

A. HP's NetWare for the HP 9000 will be available on the Series 800 and
   the Series 600.  NetWare for the Series 300, 400 and 700 will not be
   available from HP.

Q. Why will NetWare not be supported on Series 300, 400 and 700
   workstations?

A. NetWare tends to be positioned in commercial markets, and that is
   where the Series 800 is positioned.  For technical environments,
   NetWare supports NFS for file sharing.  Lastly, demand for NetWare
   has been predominately on the Series 800.

Q. What will be the price of HP's NetWare for the HP 9000?

A. NetWare licenses are expected to range in price from $2,725 to
   $24,900 U.S. list.
